A Trek to Remember

Trek in memory of all the women who have lost their lives to a gynaecological cancer.

Take on this incredible 24 mile trek on Saturday 25th September, where you will tackle the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough all in one circular route – starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Joining you will be a close-knit group, all trekking to remember the women who have lost to their lives to one of the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.

The money you raise will help fund ground-breaking research into these cancers, and raise much-needed awareness of their key signs and symptoms. You will help ensure fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers.

Join #TeamEve for what promises to be a memorable experience.

Challenge Information

This challenge includes over 1,700m of ascent as you trek the peaks of the Yorkshire Dales, thats 24 miles in 12 hours – this challenge is demanding, but one that doesn’t disappoint.

You will meet the group in the early morning in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and have an event briefing before setting off on your exciting challenge. The first peak, Pen-y-ghent (674m), is just 3 miles away from the start so it won’t be long until you can celebrate your first success. You will then descend and push onto the highest of the three peaks, Whernside (736m), approximately 12 miles further on foot.

Another success! You will then go on to trek the third and final peak, Ingleborough (723m), approximatively 7 miles on.

Standing at the top of Ingleborough you will feel a real sense of achievement – you’ve done it, you’ve conquered the three peaks! We’ll take a few victory photos before descending and trekking a final 6 miles back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where you can enjoy a celebratory cheer and a glass of fizz.

Not only will you have completed an amazing challenge, but your support will help to protect women from gynaecological cancers.
