Saks raises over £250,000 for Eve!

When Saks chose The Eve Appeal as its charity partner, nobody could have known quite where the journey would lead.

What began as a two-year partnership grew into more than a decade of raising funds for vital research, encouraging more open conversations about gynae health and breaking down taboos.

£250,000+ raised. A partnership of memories.

Over the years we’ve celebrated milestone after milestone together. £50,000 became £100,000. £100,000 became £150,000. And now, we’ve reached an incredible £250,000!

What stands out is more than just the amount raised. It’s the people, the stories, the life-saving conversations sparked along the way, the determination and the willingness to say “yes” to almost any challenge.

There have been #Saks4Eve Sundays, Make Time for Tea events, marathons, treks, cycling challenges, sea dips, skydives, head shaves, zip wires, raffles and countless brilliant fundraising ideas that have made us smile and cheer (and occasionally wonder, “That’s amazing! Where did that idea come from?”).

Saks teams have truly embraced our mission to raise awareness of gynaecological cancers and made it their own. Every day, in salons across the country, conversations happen that help women recognise symptoms, seek help when needed and feel more confident talking about their bodies.

It’s amazing how much has happened over the partnership. To celebrate, we’re revisiting some of our favourite memories and moments that have made #Saks4Eve so special:

2015: SAKS joins Team Eve

In 2015, Saks named The Eve Appeal as its charity partner and kicked things off in style: Saks Hexham hosted a fundraising fashion show, Nicole from Saks Chester-le-Street took on the Great North Run, and Saks teams joined us at the House of Commons during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

In salons, one of the partnership’s most loved traditions began to take hold as Saks salons opened on Sundays and teams volunteered their time completely free of charge. Alongside raising vital donations, #Saks4Eve Sundays helped start up important conversations about gynaecological  health.

2016: Ziplining for Eve

In 2016, fundraising challenges were becoming bigger and bolder. While a team from HQ tackled the mud, water and obstacles of Muddy Mayhem, 39 Saks people from 15 salons took on Zip World Velocity in Wales, Europe’s longest and fastest zipline. What a year!

2017: Cycling for Eve

One of the many incredible challenges in 2017 came from Saks Knutsford, where Paula, Mark and a team of cyclists took on an epic 250-mile ride between Knutsford and Saks HQ in Darlington. Covering the distance over two days and climbing the equivalent of Everest Base Camp along the way, they raised more than £10,000 for Eve.

2018: Trekking for Eve

Not one peak. Not two. Three Yorkshire Peaks. In 2018, Saks Wetherby salon owner Claire Fraser completed the challenge in an impressive ten hours, all to raise funds and awareness.

2020: Go Red for Eve

While the world looked very different in 2020, Saks remained committed to supporting women’s health. For The Eve Appeal’s Go Red campaign, stylists from Saks Chester, Saks Kings Hill and Saks Hair Newark proudly embraced every shade of red, from lips and nails to hair and outfits, helping keep conversations about  gynaecological cancers going and encouraging women to seek help if something didn’t feel right.

2022: Wing walk for Eve

If ever there was a year to prove that the Saks4Eve team will do almost anything for a good cause, this was it. John from Saks Skipton stepped well outside his comfort zone for a wing walk, taking on speeds of 140mph and a crazy roller-coaster flight experience, all in support of The Eve Appeal.

2024: Mud runs for Eve

There was mud, obstacles and plenty of challenges as the team from Saks Guisborough took on Tough Mudder.

2025: Get Lippy for Eve

One of our favourite memories from 2025 is of Saks stylists travelling to Central London to style our Get Lippy ambassador for the campaign photoshoot. More than ten years from the start of our partnership, it was a lovely reminder that Saks are always ready to lend a hand and support the charity.

2025: Skydives for Eve

Appreciation for apprentices Olivia and Magan at Saks Chester Le Street and stylist Maddie at Saks Guisborough for taking very deep dives in the name of our cause.

Maddie said: “I wanted to do something big to help raise as much as I could. It made me feel alive, powerful, proud and I loved it. TBF if I could do it again, I 100% would! A fun experience and very proud moment.”

2026: Reaching £250k

In 2026, Saks reached the incredible milestone of £250,000 raised for The Eve Appeal. One of the final pushes came from Anna Clinton of Saks Sedbury Hall, whose London Marathon challenge raised more than £4,000.

Thank you

Over the years, Saks teams have become such an important part of the Eve community. We have celebrated their successes, cheered on their challenges and watched them embrace our mission and make it their own.

We want to celebrate the entire Saks community: the salon owners who championed the cause; the teams who organised events, hosted #Saks4Eve days and donated their time; the stylists who did whatever it took to support our work; and the customers, families and friends who joined them every step of the way.

So to everyone who has been part of the Saks4Eve story: thank you. Here’s to you – and to whatever comes next.

When I look back at everything we’ve achieved with The Eve Appeal over the last 11 years, the £250,000 milestone is undoubtedly something to celebrate. But beyond the fundraising total, it’s the people, stories and acts of kindness that have made this partnership so special. Time and again, Saks teams have gone above and beyond to support The Eve Appeal: raising awareness, starting important conversations  and taking on challenges with incredible enthusiasm and generosity. Thank you to every salon, team member and client who has helped make a difference. This achievement belongs to all of you.

–Janet King, Head of Marketing, Saks
When Saks chose The Eve Appeal as its charity partner, we gained a team of incredible champions. SAKS x Eve is a powerful partnership!

Over the years, the amazing team have climbed peaks, ran races, hosted events, volunteered your time and brought your people together behind our cause in the most glamorous SAKS-fashion possible. But perhaps your greatest contribution has been helping women feel more comfortable talking about their gynaecological health and encouraging them to seek help when something doesn’t feel right. That happens in SAKS salons up and down the UK and it’s had an incredible impact – one life saving conversation at a time.

Every pound raised, every campaign supported and every conversation started has helped us move closer to our vision of a future where gynae cancers are prevented or detected at an earlier stage. From all of us at Eve, thank you for being such a valued part of our mission.

–Athena Lamnisos, CEO of The Eve Appeal.
