Lottery rules
The rules
Anyone in Britain who is 16 or over can play, in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005. Unfortunately, due to Gaming Board legislation, we are unable to offer this opportunity to people living outside of mainland Britain, including Northern Ireland.
If you have any questions about The Eve Appeal’s cancer research lottery you can contact the Unity Lottery Helpline directly on 0370 050 9240. Prize cheques are posted to you automatically if you win, so you can’t miss out!
Unity is a UK fundraising programme designed to give good causes – large and small – the chance to raise money through their own weekly lottery. Unity is administered by Sterling Management Centre, a registered External Lottery Manager, licensed by the Gambling Commission. Unity offers the best odds of any platform of its kind: because it’s a number match game, the odds are fixed. This means that no matter which cause you’re supporting, or how big their lottery is, every lottery number has an equal chance of winning a prize.
When you join a charity lottery using the Unity platform, the platform guarantees that every £1 you play is split evenly, with at least 50p becoming a donation to your chosen cause, and the remaining money used to provide lottery prizes and cover administration. This means that your chosen cause can run their own fundraising lottery with no ongoing cost to them.
Each weekly charity lottery operated under Unity is a separate licensed lottery, operated by and supporting that particular good cause.
