It is time to reflect on and remember all those Mum’s who have been affected by a gynaecological cancer this Mothering Sunday (26th March).
Sadly, every year over 21,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer, and even more devastating is the fact that 7,700 women die – that’s 21 women every single day. That’s far too many mothers and daughters
We are often told by women that the first time they have heard about a gynaecological cancer is when they’re sat in a white room with a consultant telling them that they have just been diagnosed with one.
The Eve Appeal are determined to change this for mothers of today, and the future everywhere.
This Mother’s day you can help protect every mum and daughter from women’s cancers by donating just £5 to The Eve Appeal, which funds pioneering research into early detection, risk-prediction and prevention of gynaecological cancers, whilst also raising awareness that these cancers even exist.
Why not share a picture with your mum on social media, using the hashtag #BecauseYouLoveHer and tagging The Eve Appeal on Twitter (@eveappeal), Facebook (@eveappeal) or Instagram (@eveappeal) so we can see how far your love spreads.
