Dust off your cake mixers, hang up the bunting, bake your favourite recipes (or fake it!) and host your very own tea party in aid of The Eve Appeal.
“It is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends, family and colleagues, enjoy some tea and cake and raise much needed funds for and awareness of ovarian cancer.” Lorraine Kelly, Ambassador for Make Time for Tea.
What’s more the Eve Team are here to support you and provide ideas and inspiration throughout. And if you don’t fancy holding a tea party, how about a coffee morning or bake sale – they count too!
Order your free Make Time for Tea fundraising pack either by giving the Eve Team a call on 020 7605 0109 or by email email@example.com – please do just let us know whether you would like your pack to be sent by post or by email.
We are also delighted to announce Whittard of Chelsea as our official tea partner for our Make Time for Tea campaign.
Why hold a tea party?
Ovarian cancer is the sixth most common cancer amongst women in the UK, with around 7,400 women diagnosed each year. That’s 20 mothers, daughters, sisters, wives or partners every day.
Early diagnosis of ovarian cancer is key to saving women’s lives. If symptoms are caught and the cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, the outcome is more positive. 90% of women with ovarian cancer will survive their disease for five years or more if diagnosed at the earliest stage, compared with less than 5% if diagnosed at the latest stage.
We are determined to change the shocking statistics that surround ovarian cancer but we need your help.
Although we promote Make Time for Tea throughout Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in March, we welcome tea parties (or bake sales) across the year and would love to have you involved. Your support will help to raise much needed awareness of gynaecological cancers so that more women and men understand the key signs and symptoms whilst also helping to raise funds for our ground-breaking research and other work.
So what are you waiting for? Register today for your free fundraising pack by giving the Eve Team a call on 020 7605 0109 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
