Fundraising Ideas

We have put together some additional fundraising ideas and activities to add to your Go Red – there’s something for everyone!

At Work

  • Red bake sale – this can be sweet or savoury or a mix of both! And why not offer a prize for the most inventive Red bake?
  • Quiz – test your colleague’s knowledge with rounds on gynae cancers, all things Red as well as sport, history and much more. Take a look here
  • Raffle – gather together some fun Red prizes for example a bottle of red wine, tomato ketchup, a red teddy bear or a hamper of red fruit and veg. Read more about our raffle guidelines here
  • Play games – we’ve got a great range of gynae games which you and your colleagues can get involved in, including Pin the Ovaries on the Reproductive System. Take a look at our downloadable games here
  • No Red – have a penalty (we suggest a donation of £2 – £5) for anyone who doesn’t wear Red on the day
  • So Red – can you go top-to-toe in Red? Have a prize for the person who rocks the best Red outfit, everyone loves a bit of team competition!
  • Speak out – dedicate time during your event to #talkgynae or get each colleague to pull a gynae related word out of a hat (vagina, vulva, discharge, period, menopause etc.) and ask them to talk about it for a minute
  • Team photo – gather up, gather up! Take a group photo of everyone in their Red outfits and share it on social media using #GoRed and @eveappeal for Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
  • Email signature – change your email signature in September to include when you are holding your GoRed day so that everyone in the office knows all about it!

At School

  • Red bake sale – bake a selection of Red treats for your staff and students and ask for a suggested donation
  • Red fashion show – hold this during lunch time or after school and get staff or students to walk the catwalk in their Red. This could be a great opportunity to raise awareness of each of the gynae cancers as well. Do a short speech at the beginning or get each person to say a fact when they get to the end of the catwalk.
  • Have a Red theme– you could ask everyone to wear an item of Red, go top-to-toe in Red or why not dress up as your favourite Red character or a celebrity?
  • Play some gynae games– we’ve got a great range of games which you can use at your Go Red day to help raise additional funds as well as to help educate staff/students, why not see if they can label the reproductive system or hold a Quiz? Take a look at our games and activities here
  • Speak out– dedicate time during your event or use our assembly plan
  • Team photo– take a group photo of everyone in their Red outfits and share it on social media using #GoRed and @eveappeal for Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
