Fundraising Ideas

Adding some additional fundraising ideas and activities to your virtual Go Red Day is a great way to educate your guests on gynae health (as well as break the ice) – and there is something here for everyone!

Don’t forget to check out Go Red Materials page which contains loads of resources to help support your additional fundraising activities.

Get Baking
Whilst you can’t hold a traditional bake sale, tea party or coffee morning, that shouldn’t put you off baking! Create a mix of sweet and savoury treats – they could have a Red theme running through them – then offer to leave them on the doorstep of any friends, family or colleagues who live near you in return for a donation.

Quiz
Many of you have been holding virtual quizzes during lockdown, so we’ve created a Go Red quiz for you to use as part of your virtual Go Red Day. Your quiz can be the main event or you can select some rounds to feature in your event. We have a round on gynae health, a Red themed music round as well as a round on all things Red. Take a look on the Go Red materials page.

Play Some Gynae Games
Break the ice with some gynae games – Go Red is all about normalising the conversation around gynae health and raising awareness of key signs and symptoms. Using our gynae games can help do just that!

No Red vs. So Red
Have a penalty for anyone who’s not wearing something Red and a prize for the person who wears the most Red – everyone loves a bit of competition!

Speak Out
Dedicate some time to talk about gynae health and raise awareness of the five gynaecological cancers. Use our Vagina Dialogues to help kick start the conversation.

Cocktail Masterclass
Hold a Cocktail Masterclass for everyone who attends and pick a Red cocktail for example a Cosmopolitan, Strawberry Daiquiri or Fruity Red Margaritas – just remember to send guests the recipe beforehand so they can prepare.

If you want to talk through any of these fundraising ideas / activities or have your own, do just get in touch either by emailing fundraising@eveappeal.org.uk or by calling 020 7605 0100.
