We’re so excited to kick-off our corporate partnership with McCall Pattern Company, by sharing with all our lovely supporters the first of several blog posts about their brand-new campaign – The Cocktail Hour!
The Cocktail Hour sees 20 designs chosen from McCall’s Vogue Patterns range for a new social sew-along; encouraging all those sewing enthusiasts-cum-bloggers (and we know you’re all out there!) to start creating their masterpieces; all in the name of charity! We’re very fortunate that through our partnership, McCall will be making a donation for every pattern sold to help protect women of today, and women of the future against gynaecological cancers.
So I hear you all asking how you can get involved…
You, along with lots of keen sewists from all over the country, can pick one of the 20 dressmaking patterns from The Cocktail Hour collection and begin to piece together your chosen dress. With so many to choose from you really are spoilt for choice, so why not #SipandSew in aid of women’s cancers…get involved today!
You’ll be joining an exclusive group of 26 esteemed sewing enthusiasts, who for the purpose of The Cocktail Hour Tour, are picking up the gauntlet of making one of the patterns available.
Fresh off the machine…
Some of the very first coming off the production line being Kate Underdown and Rachel Walker from online sewing community The Fold Line. In their respective blogs, they divulge into the rationale behind their chosen dress patterns, and walking us through the processes and often tough decisions they’ve had to make to ensure that their dress is the perfect fit!
As you’ll see from their finished products – the designs are simply stunning!
Ensure that you keep checking #TeamEve’s blog as we profile more of the bloggers as the Tour goes on, and remember ladies, if this has inspired you to start making your own cocktail dresses tag us on social media using @eveappeal on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram alongside the hashtag #sipandsew.
